Fluorinated oils Biocompatible fluorinated oils
Fluorocarbon oils have proven to be of great interest for use as the continuous phase for droplet production.
They are inert, biocompatible and allow gas exchange thus making them perfectly suitable for biological applications.

Benefits
Stability
FluoSurf™ allows the stabilization of droplets from 1 to 300μm with a high generation frequency (few to thousand droplets per second) and keeps droplets stable during heating cycles
Biocompatibility
FluoSurf™ is biocompatible and can be used to stabilize droplets containing biochemical compounds or biological entities
Reproducibility
FluoSurf™ production is perfectly reproducible. Each batch is tested for structure and performance following strict quality control specifications. A certificate of analysis can be delivered for each batch and is available on the website
Fluo-Oil 7500
Fluo-Oil 7500 is a fluorinated oil proposed by Emulseo as an alternative to Novec™ 7500 for microfluidic applications. Fluo-Oil 7500 has especially been formulated to ensure stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments. Fluo-Oil 7500 chemical and physico-chemical properties are similar to those of Novec™ 7500.
Fluo-Oil 7500 is especially recommended for solubilization of surfactants from Emulseo.
Fluo-Oil 40
Fluo-Oil 40 is a fluorinated oil proposed by Emulseo as an alternative to FluorinertT™ FC-40 for microfluidic applications. Fluo-Oil 40 has especially been formulated to ensure stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments. Fluo-Oil 40 chemical and physico-chemical properties are similar to those of FluorinertT™ FC-40.
Fluo-Oil 40 is especially recommended for
solubilization of surfactants from Emulseo.
Fluo-Oil 135
Fluo-Oil 135 is a fluorinated oil proposed by Emulseo as an alternative to Novec™ 7500 for microfluidic applications. Fluo-Oil 135 physico-chemical properties are similar to those of Novec™ 7500. Fluo-Oil 135 is especially recommended for solubilization of surfactants from Emulseo.
The slightly higher viscosity of Fluo-Oil 135 results in a decrease of the number leakages during microfluidic experiments compared to similar experiments performed with Novec™ 7500.
Fluo-Oil 200
Fluo-Oil 200 is a fluorinated oil proposed by Emulseo as an alternative to Fluorinert™ FC-40 oil for microfluidic applications. Fluo-Oil 200 has especially been formulated to ensure stability, biocompatibility, and reproducibility of microfluidic experiments. Fluo-Oil 200 chemical and physico-chemical properties are similar to those of Fluorinert™ FC-40.
It is especially recommended for solubilization of surfactants from Emulseo.
